Shonali Nagrani clinches the first runner-up position at the Miss International 2003 contest

The 21-year-old Delhi girl was placed after Miss Venezuela Goizeder Azua, who was crowned Miss International.
Shonali edged past Miss Finland Suvi Paivikki Hartlin, who finished second runner-up, in the final round of the pageant.
Shonali is the first Indian to hold a Miss International title, with the other coveted crowns of Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss Asia-Pacific having already been won by Femina Miss Indias, including Sushmita Sen, Aishwarya Rai, Diana Hayden, Yukta Mookhey, Lara Dutta, Priyanka Chopra and Diya Mirza, among others.
